Music In The Park : John Hewitt & the New Americans

John Hewitt is a force not seen since the end of the 70’s. There are bands, artists and songwriters that mimic and imitate but John Hewitt absorbs and reimagines. From folk clubs to house concerts, festivals to halls John is a master of storytelling, arranging, producing and a painter of poems scarcely seen in today’s musical climate. Since his early teens taking in the powerful sounds of the Beatles, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and the Grateful Dead he has been wandering, searching and yielding a crop of new ideas from the old world.

Music In The Park : Graham Quest Band

As the world came back to life in 2022, Graham decided to gather together the very best band members that he had played with in the before times.

Together they decided to reshape their musical identities both individually and collectively. Happy to be together, whole and alive; The Graham Guest Band is Graham Guest on vocal and piano, Chris Grapel on Bass, J.J. Lisk on drums, Rooster Davis on organ and the godfather of Edmonton blues Rodger Stanley on Guitar. Their combined resumes are too long to list so the new resume starts here. Too experienced to be new and too hip to be categorized; this music is straight up and full of passion.

Music In The Park : Frank Peters And The Range Patrol

a letter from frank - I've been writing songs off and on since '73. One of the first pieces of advice that was given to me was, “write about what you know!” Life would have been so much simpler if I'd just understood that you didn't have to actually, physically test everything just to write a song. But on the plus side, I wouldn't trade anything for some of the experiences, especially; ranching in the Chilcoten, heavy equipment operating & trucking. A lot of those memories and stories are written into my songs; from the cowboy in the cabin to a truckload of horses killed on a winding mountain pass.
